Entrepreneurship and Small Business Survey
We are gathering feedback from an electronic survey to determine the entrepreneurship and business needs and interests in Hendricks County in order to tailor services, programming, and resources provided by our organization. Hendricks County has always taken a community-centered approach to economic development. “Feedback and perspectives gathered from the survey will help continue to drive an organic, bottom-up approach,” said Courtney Zaugg.. “Information from the survey can also support workforce development, infrastructure, and cultural assets that contribute to potential opportunities for future innovation and small business development.”

Small Business Accelerator
Level Two is putting on a Small Business Accelerator that will take place this summer. This class will meet Thursday evenings on a weekly basis over 8 weeks starting on June 10th. The goal of this class is to help startups, new and preventure businesses get the information necessary to build their business on a firm foundation. This class will include guest speakers from local businesses and organizations and will include the following topics:
- Business Model Canvas
- Market research – What it is….What it does… How to obtain it… How to use it
- What Kind of legal structure should you choose
- INBIZ – Registering your business with the state and IRS.
- Marketing – Putting together a Marketing Plan
- Cash Flow Forecasting and Business Funding Options
This class will have a cost of $200 and will be limited to a small group of applicants. If you would like more information, you can fill out this form
Level Two in partnership with the Town of Plainfield has created a scholarship program for small businesses and entrepreneurs in all of Hendricks County and surrounding areas. This Scholarship grant will provide $500 towards the $750 annual membership fee per person for any business who meets the following criteria:
- Your business was negatively impacted by COVID-19 and you need to find a new workspace for your operations.
- You have an innovative idea or product, and you would like a new workspace to operate out of while you turn this idea into a business.
